Love essays from professional writers
Do you want to read an inspiring essay on love? This is the place for you. We have all experienced different types love at some point in our lives. As children, our parents taught us how to love through words, actions and feelings. Love is the essence of life. Without love, life would be nothing.
Love is everywhere in our lives. Love is a beautiful feeling of affection that expresses both love and friendship. If we love more, we can solve many social problems in this world. People have lost the ability to love which is why we see so much violence and murder.
While love can be expressed in many ways, it is important that you remember to show your love the right way. Love makes us happier and more content with our lives. It is a universal theme and it makes our lives better. We have read many texts on love throughout the semester. This essay focuses on love and includes movies, texts, and everyday life.
Love essay: The theme of love is explored in many texts.
Multidimensional love can be seen from many perspectives. Love can be seen in many areas, such as religion, morality, and psychology. These texts illustrate how love can be expressed in many different ways. Some are interconnected. You can express your love in many different ways, including texts and movies. It is important to advocate for those and things you love. The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, is the first text.
According to this text, love is taking a strong stand for the rights of your fellow citizens. Colonialism was an evil act which displayed hatred and superiority over others (Barnet 201). Jefferson believed all men are created equal and that the government should respect their rights. These rights include the right of life, liberty, happiness, and pursuit of happiness.
If the government is abusing its power, it should be removed from office for the benefit of all citizens. It is our responsibility to fight for the things we believe or value in life. A simple example of this is our family members, who are unconditionally loved and can’t be taken away.
Daemon Lover’s poems and “Christine”‘s book “Natural” show that romantic love can lead to harm. We cannot choose who we love. We can choose to love wisely. It is important that we love the person/thing that best serves our interests. In The Natural, Roy Hobbs was bound to greatness. He didn’t know the extent of his lust for Memo, who was a negative influence in his life. Roy Hobbs saw Lemon Iris and gave him the chance to find happiness. Many people become addicted to things that can lead to their downfall.
For example, drug addicts are so dependent upon drugs that they don’t realize how much it is ruining them. Many people fall in love, like Roy Hobbs in Natural. But not because they’re best for them. We become confused over love and life. Love should be in our best interest and bring out the best in us. Roy Hobbs (Malamud123) was not able to do this. True love is not a conformist to popular culture beliefs.
Christine (film/book). This movie/book focuses on Arnold’s blinding obsessive and self-destructive love of Christine. This is the kind of love we should avoid. Arnold falls in love with a 1958 Plymouth Fury. Strangely, Arnold can’t see the car in the same way as his friend. Arnie tells his friend, “Whoa whoa!” The obsession seems to be mutual. “You should be very careful about what you say about my car. “She’s very sensitive” (King 56).
Christine is a perfect car to Arnold so he bought it by accident. Arnie spends most of his time fixing Christine, and he often leaves his family and close friends. Christine falls for Arnie, and he runs over his enemies when he goes out of town. Christine and The Natural share the tragic stories of love gone wrong. Roy can’t let go of Memo, and so he cannot find happiness. It’s frustrating to see Roy so attached to Memo. Roy is too attached to Memo that he can’t move on. His personal growth is impeded by his obsession with Memo. Roy’s obsessive tendencies can lead to the destruction of his life.
Christine was killed by the car that was possessive. Christine’s love blinds Arnie to the warning signs. Arnie knew that Christine had self-repaired. He knew about Christine’s past, but he was so obsessed with it that he ignored it. Christine destroyed his relationships and friendships with his girlfriend, his family, and his friend. We can lose the relationships we have with those we love if we don’t care for them.
Modern society is obsessed by material possessions, and has lost real relationships. People are drawn to wealth, power, and the many benefits that they bring. Like Christine and The Natural, falling in love with power or materially is not the way to feel the void. Life is meaningless without love. It’s worse when we fall in love with inanimate objects.
Arnold was a geek who had difficulty finding meaningful relationships. He lost his few relationships due to his love for Christine and developed a false sense of himself (King 112). This idea of love means that love should not destroy existing relationships. Inanimate objects cannot love us back so love for them is not the same as love for our loved ones, families, friends, and loved ones.
The common concept of love is also mentioned in the text. It refers to the fact that we feel more confident when we are loved by someone. It is impossible to disappoint someone we love. World War z’s main character would do anything to protect his family. Everyone is desperate to be close to their loved ones, but the zombies of the post-apocalyptic future seem to have all the power.
The Main character assumes that he is in control because he is capable. He takes this risk because he loves his family. The Hobbit (book) also includes Bilbo. He is shy and timid, but he becomes a hero after overcoming his fear and helping hobbits and dwarfs along the way. Bilbo says that he has never held a sword in all his life (Tolkien 8, 8). Bilbo is attacked by Gollum and evil wolves, but he manages escape.
Bilbo defeats giant spiders using his own methods. . . It made a big difference for Mr. Baggins. He felt like a new person, more determined and bold, despite not having a full stomach. (Tolkien 54). The love of one’s family should inspire them to fight for the cause they believe in, even if it is difficult. World War z’s main character could have given up and returned home with his family.
He chose to fight for the greater good because of his love (Brooks, 58). Even though it may not always be in our best interests, we are bound to show kindness. It is a blessing for all. Thomas Jefferson was a brave man who loved his country deeply and fought for independence. The characters from the above texts, like Bilbo and Roy Hobbs in The Natural or Dennis in Christine are willing to take risks to protect those they love.
We can see how society’s expectations affect our love. The chapter 5 of Writing Essays about Literature is called The Daemon Lover. Griffith wrote the story. Janie, who is the main character of the Daemon Lover, wakes up to find her husband gone. She was meant for marriage, but she can’t decide what dress to wear to the wedding. She is 34 years old and can’t wait to marry. Women over 30 are considered less socially acceptable than those who have never been married (Griffith, 78).
Sometimes society can determine how we love. Sometimes, our socio-economic backgrounds can have an impact on how we love. Movies and popular culture often depict attractive, thin, and well-rounded people. Janie insists that she marry him, even though she loves her husband. But, she was losing the opportunity to marry him. The same holds true for our everyday lives. Our parents expect us to find the love of our lives when we reach a certain age.
There are many definitions of love that we can see in movies and articles. These stories demonstrate how love can make characters do things they would not normally do. While love can motivate us, it can also lead to wrong actions. Christine’s Arnie is almost destroyed by his love of his car. Janie, Daemon Lover, is in danger of becoming insane due to her expectation of marrying and the loneliness. Boompapers can help you create a captivating essay on love.
Love essay: The meaning and value of love in modern society
Today’s love is expressed more in movies than in real life. People seem to have lost sight of the importance love plays in daily relationships. It’s evident in every area of our lives. It is often more about how we relate to friends and what we see in the news that we love.
Love has lost its value in our lives. Our current society has been shaped by violence. Most Americans love violence. People enjoy violent movies and video games. Statistics have shown that Chicago is safer than going into war in Afghanistan. It is possible that people have forgotten to value family and love. A toddler in America cannot have a gun. Bills are being introduced to legalize deadly weapons that could be used for killing. People are so used to hatred and violence that they cannot give up the possibility of loving.
Society is seeing a decline in love. Even romantic love is in decline. America seems to have higher divorce rates that ever. It seems like society encourages divorce rather than trying to stop it. Many children are raised in dysfunctional or single-parent families. The society has developed a new set values that have changed the way people view and love each other. A society that treats love with the respect it deserves will have fewer divorces, fewer crimes, and more peace.
The current state is alarming in materialism. This is not the kind of materialism Christine depicts in the movie. People become so focused on getting the best cars or the most money that they lose sight the important things in their lives. American society is a maneat-man society. Popular culture values materialism and status over morality, love and ethics.
It is crucial to reexamine the value of love and how we can keep it. There are so many issues in our society. Maybe we can learn from movies how to love and then apply it in our daily lives.
First, love can help us live a happy life. Leo F. Buscaglia (1924-1998) said that it was not enough to live. It is vital to be determined to accomplish something. What would you suggest to me? “Creating joy for others, sharing resources for the benefit of other people, and bringing hope and love into the lives of the lost is what I would recommend.”
Showing love to others is a way to show it. They will return our love. Giving is more important that receiving. The articles featured characters who were willing to do whatever it took to show their love. Bilbo in World War Z and Bilbo from Hobbit appear to live meaningful lives because they care about others.
Love brings peace. Our love for one another makes us more compassionate, and helps us be kind. Love can bring people from different backgrounds together, creating a sense of peace. Modern society is multifaceted. Each group has its own set of values. We can connect with others by learning to love. Love is the answer to many of society’s most pressing problems. Violence, bullying, and immorality could be solved if we were more loving than haughty.
Our society is held together by love. It is not to be underestimated. Civil society is built on love and reason. The modern society is made up of many people who have different goals. It is easy to become involved in conflict and disagreement. People could easily get caught up in their own agendas without caring about the consequences for others.
Love is not just a film or literature theme. It is also the most significant theme in life/ society. If we are able to feel the value of love, then each of us can attract and keep love. A love that is inclusive of equality-consciousness fosters self-empowerment and doesn’t limit one’s immediate circle of friends and family.
Love is fragile and beautiful, just like a rose. But, the stems of love are full of thorns. These movies and articles have shown us that love can be fraught in jealousy, hatred and conflict. But that shouldn’t stop people from loving. Shaye Smith said that love is a dying plant when it is given up. When love is betrayed or lies, it dies.
